What we do

Give help when it is needed.

Since its inception in February 1995, St. Vincent de Paul continues to provide assistance to our southeast Idaho neighbors in need and has grown from helping a few individuals per month to helping many.  In 2023, we helped 3,596 families (10,502 people), food was given to 2,691 families (8,718 people) which translates to 78,462 meals provided, and we gave 597 families (1,404 people) thrift store vouchers receiving thrift store merchandise valued at $31,500.

Thrift Store

Providing meaningful employment and volunteer opportunities, our thrift store is a significant driver of the Society’s mission and effectiveness.

The Christmas Basket project story began 40+ years ago as a modest effort at Holy Rosary Church to provide families in need with a toy for each child in the family and Christmas dinner.

Assistance & Services

Since its inception in February 1995,  St. Vincent de Paul has grown from assisting just a few individuals per month in southeast Idaho to helping many families per month through our Social Services office.  We have also saved millions of dollars in prescription costs for low-income individuals with chronic or long-term illnesses through our FREEMED program.
